Day 1:

9.30am - plane touch down at Hong Kong airport

一人一半 ^^

11am - just checked out of airport and took luggage. Bought speed train ticket (RMB82 each) at 1:56pm. Needed to wait for 2hrs.. luckily for us i had cup noodles! Able to enjoy and kill some time 😌

6.30pm. Finally managed to flag a cab from hotel to go give 雨花斋. About 15 mins drive. Pass by 龙华壹方城 (yì fang chéng) one of the biggest in this district. Open until 11pm - 12am, driver said can shop about 3hours cos it’s too big. Everything they have there.. from entertainment, food, shopping. This taxi ride is only 25RMB.

6.45pm. Reach this vegetarian place and looks like they close shop alr. Actually is just nice happen that the chef ended work early as he needs to move house. So they can only anyhow cook for us. They tell us to choose the vegetables we want to eat which were on display.. 😄 kai bb can’t find anything to eat cos it’s all green vege… the auntie very warm service.. and they offer free food for the poor elderly everyday. Rejoice 😌 guess how much this meal? 25 RMB!!! So big portion.

7.35pm. Left the place. Bus 152, 621 from opposite 雨花斋 , 3 stops later alight, at 壹方城C区。 We wanted to take bus, but asked a police 叔叔 on the street regarding the payment mode for public transport… he said need to use online service, or buy transport card from 专卖店。Unfortunately there isn't any nearby stores selling the transport card. We slowly walked towards the shopping area while waiting for cab to stop by. Strolled for about 4 mins and Kai bb managed to flag an incoming taxi easily. Travel by meter and it’s only 13 RMB! Crazy cheap :)

8pm. We start shopping! Soooo big, we don’t even know where to start shopping. 

9.35pm.. we only briefly walked B区 and A区… so many things and different from Singapore and KL shopping. We are both tired from the day, about to go home and we saw 7-eleven! After payment, Sat down outside and take picts with the beautifully lighted trees and watch dogs with their hooman strolling on the wide spacious footpath. It’s relaxing and nice weather to chill ☺️ love this place more.

9.50pm. Take cab back to 悦巢酒店 (Achour hotel) by meter… 

After alighting from cab, we walked along the small road outside our hotel with night food. Nothing much here. Ordered a dessert just to have an experience of sitting down here relaxing.

Day 2:

Nua and checked out hotel at 11.50am. We took taxi (by meter - 18Rmb) to the 雨花斋 place we had dinner last night. The chef is around today! Finally managed to eat my fav China dish 凉皮.. still loving the taste after so long (the years ever since started eating vegetarian) 😍 Kai bb like the 凉皮 too :) after done eating, we saw the chef came out… he’s a young man O.o

Took taxi to World after that. It wasn’t too near, about 20-30 mins drive. We both napped a while in the taxi. It was a good short recharge :)

Kai bb bought the entrance ticket for us at 220RMB per pax. There were many people, but it isn’t difficult to walk because the place is spacious. The motto of this place says “你给我一点的时间，我给你全世界”. But I only can recognize Paris’ Eiffel Tower as one of the 7 wonders. Not that amazing, but it was still a memorable experience… with Kai bb.

5.15pm. We exit the attraction. The crowd is still ongoing. Can’t imagine how much money they are making every min and second! Took taxi back to hotel to collect our luggage.

7.15pm. We arrived at 深圳北站 and bought the train ticket to Hongkong Kowloon station at 7.08pm train boarding time. Turned out it was just a quick custom check. Shenzhen North station have many shops to walk.. we were told by the gate counter staff that we are suppose to check in just 15 mins before train departure time. However, just as we joined the queue to wait for the gate to open (it was about 7.03pm) and we were puzzled why the queue isn’t moving. Then she called out the last call for our train number (G6549). We hurried in and thankfully we managed to board the train at the last min. Before we found our designated seating, the train door closed. It was a pretty close shave, we almost missed the flight! 

9pm. Still changing mtr line to Kuai Hing station. Checkpoint clearance from Shenzhen to Hongkong is way too slow…..

10pm. Left hotel take train to go Victoria harbour for new year countdown.

11pm. reach Tsim Sha Tsui. Went by Exit C and walked ___mins to Victoria Harbour. The weather is colder here! No idea why.🙂 unfortunately, we couldn’t find the way to Victoria harbour for the countdown after a distance, so he suggested we go have Macdonald. 

11.50pm. Ordering second pack to large fries….

11.59am. We finished our fries and left Macdonald. Stepped out of Mac and got the ‘best’ non-crowded and unobstructed fireworks view! The fireworks performance is splendid, wouldn’t find this in Singapore which lasted 15 mins.

1.30am reach hotel

Day 3:

We slept until 11am. Wear couple miffy out today! 

12pm. Boarded MTR from Kwai Hing station (Tsuen Wan red Line) and changed to Tung Chung orange Line at Lai King station (just 2stations away) to go Central station (4 stations away) for our vegetarian lunch place! Should be late brunch😬

12.18pm. Hongkong station. Follow the signs and easily found central station exit D2 in 5 mins.

Lunch - Veggie4Love

12.40pm. Cozy ambience. Although it’s located inconveniently on the 10th flr of a building, there are quite a number of customers visiting the place. Next to our table is also seated by a group of nuns and their 供养者(I guess??) Our side dish nugget served. It’s just like normal nugget but with thicker crust and more crispy. A few minutes later, main dish served! We think the food tastes nice, but not that awesome as we thought it would be. Ok, can I say I like to drink their plain water? Be very shock by the price, cos I’m gonna reveal the total cost of our main dish and a side nugget. 

400HKD. (SGD68.96)

2.20pm. The mtr travelling time from Tsing Yi station to Sunny Bay station (Disneyland) is really long. But nvm, we are at Tung Chung station. 

4pm. We are finally on top of the mountain area for big Buddha! 

5.04pm. Walking down the flight of stairs from Big Buddha and recalled that there’s a highly recommended vegetarian lunch (by a random Malaysian blogger) at Po Lin Monastery’s Vegetarian Restaurant. Unfortunately, they closed at 5pm. No luck to try the food there. We made our way back to cable car area. Saw the long queue.. we were hoping this crazy queue wasn’t for the cable car ride down to Ngong Ping station. No suprises.. it is indeed for the cable car ride. Thankfully, Kai bb wanted to get the crystal cable car ride instead of the normal cable car ride. It saved our time, hungry tummy, good holiday mood and our tiring feet😌

7pm. Our feet landed on island and took the train to our next destination - Vegetarian dinner (Veggie Kingdom) at East Tsim Sha Tsui station. We did not order vegetables, but mock crispy duck, etc. All that bb can eat, he choose. I didn’t choose those I want, just to standby my tummy storage so that if he don’t like the food he ordered, I can stuff it down to avoid food wastage. Turns out that this is a very delicious vegetarian place! Satisfiying meal for the tastebud^^

9.30pm. Reach Mongkok station.. for Ladies Market at exit E2.

11pm. We shop till nothing to shop, all shops are closed. Saw Doughnuts shop, glanced through the glass door panels and they have kuromi’s bag too! I want…. But Doughnuts shop is closed too. Slowly drag feet back to mtr station to head back home. 

11.51pm. Back to hotel

1.40am then sleep. Why? Because bb…. 😵‍💫 what you thinking huh? He provide back massage service for me la. 

Day 4:

9.30am. We went out to Tsuen Wan station (2 stations before our hotel) to try this 天天素食. Thinking that it will be cheaper and there are not seats/table to dine-in, we each both noodles and bee hoon to fill our stomach before heading to Disneyland. I think the food is average, edible.. just hoping to have chili padi and it’ll be perfect. But Kai bb said the food tasted below average, he finished it up only because he’s hungry. Very good, 饿得好！

10.10am. We rush off the next destination. DISNEYLAND! ELSA HERE WE COME! 😍

Day 5:

10.40am. We checked out and left our luggage at the hotel. Shopping day before flight! We are going back to the dinner place we (I) had last night. Then buy Kuromi Doughnut bag !! 

10.58am. Vege food at Kwai Chung Plaza (如意素食）

*On the last day

12.20pm. Finally bought my bag! It’s 740HKD, about 125SGD, the price isn’t any cheaper than in Singapore. But this Kuromi design is new arrival, I think it probably won’t reach Singapore, otherwise later in the future. Use it right away :) We boarded train and set off to next station, Causeway Bay station for Neopets toy :P wheehee! Never thought that the neopets merchandise that I always wanted in primary and secondary school is finally within reach. Silent happiness! 🤭

1pm. We are at Causeway Bay. But… no more neopets. My heart literally dripping tears🥺 

2pm. Sat down in Macdonald for a short break. Kai had fries, while I try the ovaltine cone ice cream. 

2.45pm. We are at Mongkok station. Kai bb wants to go Sneaker Street at exit D2 to see see. Just see see. Let’s go!

3.55pm. He hasn’t bought any shoes yet, but I just bought a pink Nike (kids shoes again) love at first sight. 430HKD.

5.12pm. Placed our order for crab egg, salmon sashimi and white rice at Gaia Veggie Shop in L2 of Mira Place One (132 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui station). Yummy food at 280.20HKD. Thank you Kai b for feeding me fat fat :S
